Carson Schanbacher, a former Cherokee High School star now playing for the Northwestern Oklahoma State Rangers, is set to compete in the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament.

The Rangers secured the No. 7 seed and will face the second-seeded Concordia Golden Bears in their opening matchup.

Their first game is scheduled for Friday, March 13, at 2:30 p.m. at Taylor Center.
