62 percent of applicants to Northwestern Oklahoma State University were admitted for fall 2018

At Northwestern Oklahoma State University, 74 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 59 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Alva enrolled 1,992 students in fall 2018, including 1,773 in undergraduate and 219 in graduate programs, data shows. 11.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

72 percent of undergraduates are residents of Oklahoma, and 26 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (64 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (10 percent).

The school admitted 62 percent of the 1,170 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 51 percent enrolled.
