Census Bureau: More women than men in Ames in 2019

Of the 262 people living in Ames in 2019, 55.3 percent (145) were women and 44.7 percent (117) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the NW Oklahoma News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 71-to-53. In the 65 and over age range, there were 38 females and 17 males.
