Northwestern Oklahoma State University Lady Rangers Hit Century Mark in Win Over Falcons

The Lady Rangers continued non conference play against the Falcons from Kansas Christian University and easily overcame the visitors 111-45. Northwestern jumped to an early 15-0 lead in the first quarter which contributed to the team leading the entire game.  

Faith Simpson set the pace on offense and defense with a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds. Chelsea Lindsey followed in points with 12 and Nikya Orange followed in defense with 8 rebounds. Carly Craig also accumulated a double double for the Lady Rangers with 11 assists and 10 points. 

1st Quarter: 

Faith Simpson opened up scoring for the Lady Rangers with a three point play and back to back layups. Simpson fired off another layup, collecting the first 9 points for Northwestern. Josena Frame contributed a floater off a dribble drive. Carly Craig and Talayah Thomas fired off a layup each to propel the Lady Rangers to an early 15-0 lead. The Falcons responded by sinking two free throws. Off the bench, Nikya Orange contributed a layup. Kansas Christian answered back with a corner jumper to trail 22-4. Paige Scott sank back to back three pointers to keep the momentum with Northwestern. Another layup from Scott allowed Northwestern to enter the second quarter with almost a thirty point lead at 35-4. 

 2nd Quarter:

The Falcons fought back with a three pointer at the start of the second. Simpson quickly responded with a layup. Craig fired off a three pointer to extend the Lady Ranger lead 40-9. Kansas Christian countered with a layup and three pointer. Orange contributed back to back layups. Off the bench, Tyavna Vaught made a putback layup to continue Northwestern's lead 50-18. Orange contributed another layup. The Falcons responded with a freethrow to trail 52-21 at the end of the first half. 

3rd Quarter:

Out of the break, Kansas Christian scored on a dribble drive layup. Simpson answered back with a layup and jumper to extend the Lady Ranger lead 56-23. Craig fired off a corner floater. Camille Thomas contributed a layup from the post position. The Falcons countered by sinking two free throws to trail 63-25. Off the bench, Scott fired off another three pointer for the Lady Rangers. C. Thomas contributed a three point play and a layup. Frame sank two consecutive free throws to extend Northwestern's lead 70-25. T. Thomas fired off back to back layups. The Falcons countered with back to back free throws. Off the bench, Chrissen Harland sank two free throws. Simpson fired off another layup to extend the Lady Ranger lead 78-30 at the end of the third. 

4th Quarter:

The Falcons fought back with a three pointer to start the fourth. Chelsea Lindsey answered back for Northwestern with a three pointer and layup. Harland sank two free throws off an intentional foul call to further Northwestern's lead 89-33. Kansas Christian quickly responded with two free throws of their own and a layup. Off the bench, Lindsey fired off another layup. Teammate Ali Zeka contributed a putback layup. Anna Motycka fired off a three pointer to push the Lady Rangers past one-hundred points at 103-42. Carlie Badley sank a hook shot. Aubrey Ritter contributed two free throws and a layup to clinch Northwestern's third victory of the season 111-45.
