Oklahoma Panhandle State University Aggies see Tigers run by

The Aggies men's Basketball team traveled to McPherson, KS, to take on Central Christian College Thursday night.

In the first half of the game, the Tigers managed to go up by 13 at the 8:25 mark. The Aggies would go on a 14-2 run to get within four points. Freshman Javian Lawson would hit a three with seventeen seconds in the first half to tie the game 35-35. The Tigers responded with a three to give them the lead of 38-35 going into halftime.

Coming out of halftime Senior Rayquan Elliott would sink back-to-back threes to give the Aggies a 41-38 lead at the 17:50 mark. Aggies would control most of the 2nd half until the 2:10 mark when the Tigers hit a three, giving them a four-point lead, making the final score 71-63.

After the game, coach Laird shared, "with JP out due to a family emergency, we know this was going to be a challenging trip regardless, we had control of the game and gave it away in the last five minutes. Gave up too many offensive rebounds and too many turnovers and critical moments. My guys played with a lot of heart but just didn't have the experience to know how to close out a tough road game like that."

Leading the way for the Aggies senior Rayquan Elliott with 30 points and five defensive rebounds, Sophomore Woody Therenciel scored 11 points and four rebounds.
