The Aggies women's basketball team played home Thursday night as they faced Langston University.
Sophomore Jamiah Clay would hit the first bucket for the Aggies in the first quarter, scoring 2-5. At the 5:36 mark, Senior Morgan Williamson would tie the game at 9-9 from a good jump shot. Senior Tateum Jones would give the Aggies the first lead of the game with a layup from sophomore Mariah Williams, making the score 11-9. The Aggies and the Lions would keep the game close throughout the first quarter, and the Aggies would be outscored 2-6 to close out the quarter.
Mariah Williams would get the Aggies within 3 points in the second quarter after making both free throws. However, the Aggies would see the Lions rally up to 14 going into halftime, and the Aggies would fall to the Lions 63-77.
Mariah Williams led the Aggies, scoring 16 points and shooting 6-12 from the floor, including six steals.
