Oklahoma Panhandle State University (OPSU) is excited to announce that Charles Belt has been named the next head coach of the men's basketball program.

Belt brings a wealth of experience and success to the Aggie program. He has spent the last four seasons as the head coach at William Woods University. Before that, Belt spent time as an assistant coach at Northern Michigan University and Beloit College.

"We are thrilled to have Charles Belt join the Aggie family as our next head men's basketball coach," said Athletic Director Victor Esparza. "His passion, dedication, and expertise in coaching basketball will be invaluable to our team and the university. We are confident that he will build a successful program that our students, faculty, staff, and alumni will be proud of."

President Dr. Julie Dinger echoed Esparza's sentiments. "Charles Belt is an excellent addition to our coaching staff, and we are excited to welcome him to our university community. We are confident that he will continue to uphold the high standards of excellence and integrity that are the hallmark of our athletics program."

Belt himself expressed his excitement about the opportunity to lead the Aggie basketball program. "God's timing and God's plan is amazing! I'm extremely excited and blessed to be entrusted with the New Era of Aggie basketball at Oklahoma Panhandle State University! The vision of Director Esparza for where this program needs to go, plus the support and investment from Dr. Dinger our University president simply blew me away. I'm floored by the hospitality of everyone involved in the process and the constant reminders to me that I'm "THEIR GUY".

Belt continued "Now it's time to go be the man, leader and coach they expect and believe I can be. My family and I thank everyone involved in the process, Dr. Dinger, and Director Esparza. Rebranding, rebuilding, and creating culture starts today! Go Aggies!"
